The 2020 Gladiator is powered by a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that’s always up for a challenge. It delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque while towing up to 7,650 pounds when properly equipped. It’s paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic.

In addition to maximizing on power output, it keeps your efficiency high with Engine Stop-Start technology. This reduces unnecessary fuel use by powering down your engine when you pause at a red light or stop sign. It seamlessly starts back up again when you move your foot off the brake.

While you’ll have no problem towing over 7,000 pounds with the Jeep Gladiator, you can carry even more by loading up your cargo bay. This fits 35.5 cubic feet of cargo and has a 1,600-pound payload capacity.

The Jeep Gladiator is the adventurer’s truck, so you can be sure that it comes equipped with great handling capabilities. In fact, it gives you the choice between two different 4-wheel drive (4WD) systems. These are:

• Command-Trac® 4WD
• Rock-Trac® 4WD

The Command-Trac® system automatically switches between 2-wheel drive (2WD) and 4WD to keep you efficient during highway cruising yet capable on mountain paths. The Rock-Trac® 4WD system is for the true off-roader and includes a 4:1 super low-gear ratio transfer case that helps you crawl at a low speed for greater control during especially tough obstacles.

When you head off the beaten path, the available Off-Road+ button allows you to improve your capability even more. It automatically monitors your terrain type and makes careful adjustments to your throttle, traction control, transmission, and other key systems to keep you moving forward.

It has two modes: 4-HI for sand and mud, and 4-LO for rock crawling.

Certain trim levels also feature the available Forward-Facing Off-Road Trailcam. This provides an up-close view of the trail directly in front of your vehicle so that you can easily navigate around obstacles without surprises.

It also features two different convertible roof styles: Sunrider® Soft Top and Freedom Top® 3-piece modular hardtop. Both let you remove the roof to feel the wind in your hair.
