2023 Jeep Renegade: Performance

The 2023 Renegade comes standard with an impressive 1.3L direct injection MultiAir® Turbo four-cylinder engine that’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It’s able to reach power outputs of up to 177 horsepower, 210 lb-ft of torque, and when properly equipped, a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

It also features Engine Stop/Start technology that works by turning off the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop. When it’s time to drive again, releasing the brake pedal automatically restarts the engine and you’d good to go. This helps you to conserve your fuel reserves while traveling, stretching your tank farther.

Speaking of fuel, the 2023 Renegade has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23 City/29 Highway/25 Combined MPG. These numbers tell stories of driving out to run errands or making quick work of the daily commute and heading out to the highway on your way to the roads less traveled. With a 12.7 gallon fuel tank, you won’t have to make frequent stops to top off your tank.

2023 Jeep Renegade: Off-Road Adventure

You’ll have control of the road with the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System at your disposal. The system helps to optimize the engine and drivetrain system to help your Renegade adapt better to snow, sand, and mud. If you decide on the Trailhawk® model, you get the additional Rock mode as well as Hill Descent Control for additional control.

The 2023 Renegade comes with a choice of two available 4x4 systems. The first is the Jeep Active Drive System is a fully automatic, single-speed Power Transfer Unit. The other available system is featured on Trailhawk® models, labeled as the Jeep Active Drive Low that includes a 4-Low mode with an impressive 21:1 crawl ratio.

Water fording is available with Renegade, as it has a high air intake with sealed electrical connections and moisture-resistant body opening. This allows you to cross creeks, streams and puddles up to 19-inches deep. A great feature for drivers in wetter areas.
