The Arc of NEPA: Valentine’s Dinner & Dancing with The Wannabees

Guess who’s turning 65 this year? The Arc of NEPA, that’s who!

To celebrate this milestone, they’re inviting local residents to an evening of Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dancing with the Wannabees. The team here at Scranton Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram couldn’t be more excited to showcase this event to the community through this Local Spotlight.

About The Arc of NEPA

We’re going to get into this fun-filled event, but first, let’s talk a little bit about this grassroots organization. The Arc of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) first began in 1955 and is a local branch of approximately 850 Arc chapters nationwide.

The Arc of NEPA strives to promote education rights, public awareness, community support, and progressive legislation for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families. It’s played a pivotal role in granting free and public education to all children, and the organization even helped pass the Right to Public Education.

Today, members of The Arc stand together in showing their support for the over seven million citizens living with intellectual or developmental related disabilities in Pennsylvania.

Dinner, Dancing, Music, & Fun

The Arc of NEPA’s Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dancing with The Wannabees event will be held on Friday, February 14^th, 2020 at Fiorelli’s Banquet Facility in Peckville, Pennsylvania.

The festivities begin at six o’clock in the evening, starting with an hors d’oeuvres cocktail hour. After cocktails and light refreshments, there will be a buffet-style dinner filled with delicious menu choices, such as:

• Fresh Garden Greens with Vinaigrette Dressing
• Fresh Fish of the Day
• Oven Roasted Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetable de Case
• Hand-Carved Certified Angus Sirloin of Beef

That’s not all! During dinner attendees can dance along to a live performance from The Wannabees. Sing along to all of your classic rock favorites as you show off your dance moves. 

How Do I RSVP?

If this sounds like your kind of evening, head on over to their Facebook page to find the sign-up form. The price of admission is $35.00 per person or $65.00 for couples. Looking to attend with a large group? Groups of seven or more guests are eligible to reserve a table for the evening if they so desire.
